White Caps Cowl

Mimicking the white caps that we see on the Chincoteague Channel with our knitting is much more fun than braving the stiff winds. This is a snug, warm cowl that is knitted flat using one skein of our Chincoteague Colors Channel Collection yarn (a DK wt). The approximate size is 38" in circumference and 9" width. Gauge is 5 sts/in on a size 6 needle, but not too important if you like the fabric your knitting and needles are giving you. You will also need a size G crochet hook as there is a provisional cast-on. This provisional cast on is used when you come to the end with a three needle bind-off. Pattern instructions are written and charted. With the gauge of 5sts/in, I was able to wrap the cowl twice.
