Zig Zagg Socks

These socks, with their optional double-knit soles, will be a delight to wear as regular socks or slippers. Begun with a provisional cast-on, the sock can later be extended upwards or finished from the cast on edge with bells and fringe, for a frivolous flourish. Uses sock weight yarn - 100g (220 yards) of main color and 10g each of 8 contrast colors or any number of contrast yarns may be used. Single fabric socks = intermediate knitter, double-knit soles = experienced knitter.
