This shawl has special meaning for those who know and love the ponies of Chincoteague Island. We lost a pony named Butterfly Kisses one year during the pony swim week due to a freak accident. She is commemorated in this lovely shawl. See the ponies galloping across the body of the shawl which combines simple stockinette, Fibonacci striping, intarsia and lace edging. Not as complicated as it sounds with a stitch count included. The yarn used is Chincoteague Colors yarn making it an extra special project. The kit for butterfly Kisses shawl includes the pattern and yarn in the Chincoteague Colors Seagull and the mini skeins to complete the shawl. You will need to supply size 5 - 32" or 40" circular needles, stitch markers, and bobbins.
