Description: Socks in 3 or more colors! Review 2 handed Fair Isle knitting techniques after designing your own individual adult sized sock. In the process you will learn how to fit the patterns together, chart it and then learn all the techniques to make a sock as they did in Fair Isle Scotland.  Each student will take home their completed pattern, a workbook full of patterns for future use, and a partially completed sock.

Skill level: sock knitting experience, have worked knitting "in the round".

Students should bring: Yarn appropriate for sock knitting (fingering wt) in 3 or more colors. 3, 50 gram balls. Try for high contrast, plus small amounts of any other colors to add highlights.    32” or 40” long circular needle, or 5 dp needles in size 3 (3.25mm). Pencils, eraser, colored pencils.

Homework: . Students will be sent the homework description the beginning of March.
