Infant Set III

Ann Norling pattern for baby cardigan, hat, booties and blanket.

It uses light worsted or DK weight yarn. The cardigan and blanket are worked at 5sts/in. The hat and booties are worked on a smaller needle at 5.5sts/in for a firmer fabric.

The simple combination of garter stitch and blocks lends itself to playing with colors. The photo shows the set in a solid color with a contrasting stripe at the borders, and a second cardigan is worked in stripes of 4 different colors. A variegated or self striping yarn would also be fun.

Uses 29" circular size 6 needles for sweater and blanket.

Blanket: Finished measurement is 24"x34". Uses 600 yards.
