| Elsebeth Lavold Cotton Frappe |
| Elsebeth Lavold describes her new yarn, "The yarn is actually a thin knitted cotton tube wrapped with a very thin nylon thread. When I first saw it, I liked the way the thin nylon thread is wrapped loosely in some places and then tightly in others, in quite an unusual manner. It adds both textural interest and a bit of shimmer, while the feel of the yarn is still typically cotton-like. ...The combination of the structure of the yarn and the printed multicolors, steered me in the direction of pared down, easy to knit, easy to wear garments with a summery feel to them." 95% cotton, 5% polyamide. 159 yards/50g ball. Gauge is 5.5 sts/in on size 6-7 needles. |
