Wick may sound like a strange name for a yarn but it comes from the yarn's wicking properties. It draws moisture away from your skin so you stay cool and dry in warm summer weather, and warm and dry in blustery winter weather. They test knit it for socks with outdoor people who wore their handknit socks while running and hiking and they loved the wicking properties. And as an added bonus, it was very silky, and flowed nicely through the fingers when knitting. Sounds great! You'll find that the 50g balls have 110 yards and it is a blend of 53% soy and 47% polypropylene. The gauge is 20sts/4in on size 8 needles. For socks, use size 5 or 6 needles.
