Moving Sale

What's It All About????

The Hersheys have owned our sheep farm for 37 years and with Dan's retirement from the Univeristy of Virginia, we decided to not only get out of the sheep raising business but to sell our farm and move to Chincoteague Island which is off the coast of Virginia. We are keeping our business and will open a retail shop there on the Island and continue with the internet store. So, for many of you who have never visted the farm, nothing will change. You can continue to place your orders on line and receive them by either USPS or UPS.

Our lives will change drastically as you can imagine moving to an island from the mountains of Virginia. Dan is giving up sheep raising to begin raising oysters and that's no joke. The children have gotten him all the info and contacts and as soon as we are there, I think he will disappear to the oyster beds. Bummer! And here I thought I'd have someone at my beck and call. And, to give you the main reason we're moving...we will be about an hour from two of our children and their families and only 3 hours to Philadelphia where our other daughter lives which is half the distance now, and no obnoxious DC beltway to face with each trip. YIPPEE!

We will be moving at some point over the summer. Exact date is unknown yet as we wait on closing of the sale of our farm. We will be unable to have SoXperience this June but plan on it next year at our new location.

And to help us with the move is why we are having the Moving Sale. Everything in our shop will be 25% off from May 11th - June 4th. So you have plenty of time to make your lists. Just be aware that in most cases, we will not be ordering new inventory, so what is in stock is what we have. Also, anything that is already on sale or discounted will not be included in the sale. To take advantage of the sale, place your order and on your shopping cart page, please type the word "moving" in the coupon box and the shopping cart should calculate your new total automatically.

Don't forget to check out KnitXperience, a Knitters Retreat which we hold in November at Graves Mountain Lodge which we will continue undisturbed by all of our moving. The date for this year is Nov. 13-15th, the workshops will be on the Magic of Modular Knitting and registration and full information will be posted on the KnitXperience page the beginning of June.

Thanks and don't forget we are still here. Just a little hiccup in our being able to suppply you with a full range of products.
