So Ready For It!

Posted by Caroline Hershey

It seems like the weather has changed overnight. Sitting on our deck at six this morning having a cup of coffee and just a week ago it was much too cool to consider doing it. Someone a street over has a turkey and is he ever noisy, maybe the peacock is egging him on. And then there’s the door slam, and a fella racing down the street shirtless. Hmmm, never knew it would be so interesting out here.

MD Sheep & Wool was great. Everyone brought only sheep who just wanted some extra scratching around the ears and didn’t mind this crazy lady talking to them. The parade of beautiful garments through my booth was a knockout because, of course, everyone has to wear their most favorite project. I couldn’t keep up with them all. Wanted to chase a few down to see what the pattern was.

Started a new class for a summer shrug. It’s a Drops pattern shrug-photofound on Ravelry     which I tweaked, shortened, no closure and added picot edge. It is knitted from side to side, and after deciding how long you want it, doing a swatch of course, you can jump right in and use inch measurements instead of number of rows to determine how far you knit before the change for sleeve. Lovely little shrug to throw on in air conditioning or dinner on the patio.

Watch for our new Chincoteague Colors Collection, Surf, which is a sock weight yarn in 80% wool and 20% nylon. Soon available in all our Chincoteague Colors.

Testimonials

The yarn I ordered over the net has arrived safely today. I am delighted with the colours & can hardly wait to get knitting. Last year when I was in Germany I purchased some of the Regia brand & was wondering how I would get some more until I found your website.Thank you again for your efficient service.
