Snow on Chincoteague, Again!

Posted by Caroline Hershey

Really, I think this must be a record number of snows on Chincoteague. School children will be moaning when summertime comes and finds them still in school making up the days.

The snow brought welcome visitors to our bird feeders. We had begun to despair of having song birds but the snow made us fast friends. Look at these lovelies:

And our very favorite:

We just returned from the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival just in time to avoid the snow although we had to unload with big fat flakes coming down. This Swirl Hat was the hit at the quilt show. I knitted it out of the KnitCol yarn and the pattern can be found on Ravelry. The pattern is nice but doesn’t knock your socks off until you make it with the KnitCol as you can see here. The pattern has sizes from preemie to adult. Great pattern!
