NY Sheep & Wool Festival

Yes, we’ll be there in our usual spot in Bldg 39 at the far end. Last year we drove up in a freak snowstorm, on Interstate 81 through PA which always seems like you are driving off the edge of the world anyway. Add to that single lane traffic, big fat snow flakes the wipers can’t keep up with, and I’m doing this why??? But it turned into a great weekend. As all freaky snowstorms manage to do, create havoc and then quickly go on their merry way. I think this must be my favorite fiber show and here’s hoping I can do a little Christmas shopping myself.

Yarns on Stage!

And, guess what! Have you heard about the Yarns on Stage Collection? On October 16th, ten of today’s hottest hand-dyers will debut unique, limited – edition colorways designed for knitters who know their obsession is not just a craft, but an art. A limited number of shops will have these special edition yarns and the yarns arrived yesterday in our shop. We can’t show them until the 16th, but guess where we’ll be on the 16th? At Rhinebeck and we are definitely taking the yarn. So, stop by our booth to see this collection. The ten hand dyers are: Cherry Tree Hill, Pico Accuardi Dyeworks, Twisted Sister, Shibui Knits, Prism Yarns, Dream in Color, Conjoined Creations, Claudia Handpaints, Great Adirondack, Alpaca with a Twist. They look cool in the box and I’m a little frustrated I can’t throw them up on the shelves for everyone to see. But, next weekend for sure!
