Felted Scarf

Posted by Caroline Hershey

Rowan KidSilk Aura

I used the Aura to knit a straight scarf in stockinette stitch with 2 balls until the yarn ran out. Then I felted it just using two bowls of water, one hot and one cold. It took just 30 minutes to felt. Cathy then added the embroidery stitches making it a unique piece. She used a whipped stem stitch and the heads just plain straight stitches.  The foam is Pekinese  stitch. Can you imagine the wind blowing the beach grasses with foam from the waves.
Close up of the stitches.
