Do As I Say, Not As I Do

How many times have we heard this? I find myself caught in this trap as I many times tell knitters, “make sure you put a lifeline in.” Well, guess who didn’t and paid for it. Knitting a shawl with some slick yarn, paying attention to the TV and not the knitting, dropped a stitch and stared in horror as it zipped down rows before I could move my hand to catch the little bugger.

The pattern was too complex for me so backed up quite a few rows, knitted one row in pattern and PUT A LIFE LINE IN. Better late than never.

The swans are back on the Refuge. Love to hear them talking. What a sweet sound.

Swan cove was just about frozen over at that time. Lots of black ducks and buffleheads out there with them.

The yarn I ordered over the net has arrived safely today. I am delighted with the colours & can hardly wait to get knitting. Last year when I was in Germany I purchased some of the Regia brand & was wondering how I would get some more until I found your website.Thank you again for your efficient service.
