high-reso-wwkipIt’s just around the corner. It’s the largest knitting event in the world. We’ll be gathering in Robert Reed park in downtown Chincoteague under the pavilion or in the sunshine if it’s lovely.

Bring a chair, sunscreen and water.

We’ll have demonstrations of finger knitting, arm knitting and good ole fashioned needle knitting. Supplies available to try your own.

A Special Peony

Posted by Caroline Hershey

When we moved from the farm, we tried to bring a sampling of all our plants with us which included our peonies, daylilies and iris. Sad to say not many made the move. But this lovely peony has graced us with beautiful flowers for the first time (5 years later) and it is the only one to survive the move. So it’s pretty special to us.

The Ice Queen is a delicate, beautiful cowl which you could also call a wimple because you can pull it up onto your head. The pattern calls for beading, however I used Kid-Set Pearl yarn (2 balls) which already has the little pearl beads in the yarn.
