Busy Spring!

Posted by Caroline Hershey

We have fallen behind in the blog because it has been incredibly busy here. First the Quilt Show in Hampton, then Knit Lite in March, Margaret Fisher in March, SoXperience in April just a couple weeks ahead of the MD Sheep & Wool Show. Lets catch up in these next posts.

This is the group from Knit Lite. We studied the Slick Slip Stitch over the weekend with lots of models and patterns supplied for trying it out in the afternoon.

What was also incredibly neat was the sharing of projects on-going and finished. A wealth of inspiration for all of us.

The Color is Yellow

Posted by Caroline Hershey

The kitty cats paws are yellow, my dining room table is yellow, unsuspecting socks turn yellow. What is this all about? The pines on Chincoteague Island went bonkers this year with an overload of pollen. There was so much pollen in the air, the moon appeared orangey several nights. In search of more inspiring things than pollen saturated surroundings, I took the camera and found these beautiful yellows.

The yellow & green leaves of the Euonymus, Harrison rose, yellow pansies , the swamp iris and not to be left out is our Chincoteague Colors in Goldenrod.
