Snow on Chincoteague Island

Posted by Caroline Hershey

Seems strange to be snowed in on Chincoteague Island. snow-chincoteague
But this is the second time this winter. Am so ready for spring. We visited Longwood Gardens over the weekend to see the orchid exhibit and they had planted some jonquils here and there. Boy, did that ever make me long for the real thing.

Looking forward to spring and April with our SoXperience Retreat here on the Island. We will have Lorilee Beltman, Stranded on an Island, showing how to add color to socks.

New yarns coming in – KnitCol, great self-patterning DK wt yarn in superwash merino wool. Hats, socks, Baby Surprise sweaters, all look as if you have labored a mighty time over the piece when actually the yarn has accomplished the yarn patterning. Also Indulgence yarn with a touch of silk. Will have the color choices posted this week along with new colors in the Ella Rae Lace Merino. Please check back.

The yarn I ordered over the net has arrived safely today. I am delighted with the colours & can hardly wait to get knitting. Last year when I was in Germany I purchased some of the Regia brand & was wondering how I would get some more until I found your website.Thank you again for your efficient service.
