Averting Disaster!

With the help of ziplocs

Picture  a pancake turner stacked high with blueberry pancakes, you’re swinging around to take them to the table…oops, too fast, too fast! and there they go flying through the air. And you’re watching as in slow motion you see them heading for your stack of projects you had just unloaded from visiting the grandchildren…and there’s a splat big time as they hit. Hot blueberries! ARGH!!! All is not lost. The projects were all in their ziplocs and they were actually zipped. Hooray! Hooray! Can you imagine trying to get blueberry stains out of yarn?

Do I dare tell you how many projects that would have taken out? There is the one for granddaughter Caroline to help me with, the one for grandson Naaman to knit all by himself (TA DA – I am so impressed he can do the knit stitch all by himself) and then there’s the one for the Baby Surprise Jacket that we are making in the shop (which I had started and ripped out because I hated the yarn) and then the one for quiet knitting which I didn’t even bother to pick up, because, guess what! With the five children there was NO quiet knitting time.

Hope you had a wonderful fourth of July.

Sand Dollar Sales

Posted by Caroline Hershey

Have you checked out our Sand Dollar sales lately? Some yarns that have gone for a $1/ball recently are Uruguay,  and Clown to name a couple. This week we have a cotton yarn, Maggi Cotton, for a $1/ball. We try to post them some time on Mondays and they are there for a week, and of course have been sold out on the first or second day of posting usually. Make sure you check for these great buys.

I received the order and I do thank you. I look forward to doing further business with you.
